DEATH OF GEO. F. JACQUES

Geo. F. Jacques died Friday morning, Feb. 18, 1910 at his home in Neillsville, Clark County, after almost two years of ill health.

Mr. Jacques was born in Nova Scotia July 12, 1838. In 1844 he immigrated with his parents to Wisconsin and settled in Delafield. In 1861 he married Anna M. Spaulding. In 1874, with his wife and children, he removed to Calumet County, where he resided until 1881, when he removed to Loyal, this county, afterwards moving to Spencer, and in 1886 moved to Neillsville. Shortly after going to Neillsville he settled on a farm in Pine Valley, where he cleared up and developed a very good dairy farm. About six years ago he rented his farm and removed to Neillsville, where he lived until he died.

For many years after coming to Clark County he was active in the stave and logging business, but in later years devoted himself to his farm.

Mr. Jacques had a hopeful, friendly disposition and was a great favorite among the children of his acquaintance. He was a man of very strong political convictions and took great pleasure in the discussion of public affairs.

He is survived by his wife and two children, Mrs. F. O. Balch of Milwaukee and Geo. L. Jacques of Neillsville.
