MATT BOMBACH
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 1, at
the Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, for Matt Bombach, 94, of route
1, Willard, Clark County, who passed away at 9 p.m., March 29,
1977, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.
Rev. Bruno Schlachtenhaufen, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church,
Loyal, officiated and Gary Schultz was the soloist, accompanied by
Mrs. Gary Schultz on the organ. Burial was made in the Greenwood
Cemetery.
Matt Bombach was born on Nov. 2, 1882, at Yugoslavia and received
his education at Yugoslavia. He came to the United States in 1900
and settled in Loraine, Ohio, for approximately ten years.
He was married on Feb. 4, 1907, in Loraine, Ohio, to Mary Pavic.
They moved to Willard in 1910, where they farmed in the Town of
Hendren until retiring in 1946. He then continued to live on the
home farm. He was a resident of the Neillsville Home for only three
weeks.
He is survived by four sons, Matt, Jr. of Owen, Edward of Willard,
Eugene of Aurora, Ill., and Elmer of Willard three daughters, Mrs.
Mickey (Angeline) Gould of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Viola Cercik of
Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Vera Roberts of Loyal 15 grandchildren and
21 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Cyril Rakovec, Tony Gosar, Sr., Tony Ulesich,
Frank Parkel, Frank Koschak and Stanley Volovsek. Rinka Funeral
Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary one son, Rudy three
brothers and one sister.
