ALBERT HOFFMAN


Funeral services were conducted at Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer, on Wednesday, April 20, at 11 a.m., for Albert Hoffman, 82, Route 1, Unity, Clark County, who passed away at his home on Sunday, April 17, 1977.


Rev. Andrew Bofemkamp officiated at the mass and interment was made in the West Spencer Cemetery.


A rosary was said at 8 p.m., Tuesday evening, April 19.  Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.


Albert Hoffman was born to the late Herman and Theresa Heimes Hoffman at Unity on April 24, 1894.


He graduated in 1914 from the Unity High School and was also a graduate of Valley City North Dakota College and taught in North Dakota Schools until purchasing a farm in 1930, where he farmed until his death.


He was married to Ellen Morrison at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oconto on Feb. 11, 1930.


He was a member of the Catholic Order of Forresters.


Albert Hoffman is survived by his wife, Ellen one son, James of Unity two daughters, Miss Dorothy Hoffman of Unity and Mrs. Fred (Winifred) Kerksieck of Spencer two sisters, Miss Theresa Hoffman and Miss Louise Hoffman, both of Marshfield and five grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
