MRS. WM. GRESEKE

On Sunday, July 25, 1909, another one of the oldest residents of Clark County passed away, in the death of Mrs. William Greseke at Colby, at the age of 74 years. Mr. and Mrs. Greseke located in Fond du Lac County in 1870, and in the fall of 1877, settled at Colby, where she died. The Colby Phonograph speaks of her as follows:

Mrs. Greseke has lived in this community for 32 years, and her death marks the passing of another early settler. She was a woman with a very pleasant disposition, and always had a kind word and a smile for all. She thought a great deal of her home and family, and was held in the highest esteem by them. She had been very active during her life but at the coming of ripening years she became feeble in body, and everything that loving hands could do to make her comfortable was done. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Wm. Greseke, and three daughters, Mrs. A. F. Sceuelar, of the town of Colby, Mrs. Albert Klienfeldt, of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Henry A. Frome of the town of Colby, one sister, Mrs. Wepfser, of Milwaukee and eleven grandchildren, besides a host of friends, who will always hold her in loving remembrance.
