Here he was confirmed and received as a member of the Lutheran Church. In the year 1885 he came to Clark County. On Aug. 29, 1886 he was married to Friederika Loos. The ceremony was performed in New Holstein, Wis. To this union were born six children. In November 1886 the young couple came to Clark County and settled on a farm in the town of Green Grove, which Mr. Awe had purchased the previous year. This has always served as their home.
