OBITUARY OF EINAR MARTINSON


Einar Martinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Martinson, was born Dec. 23, 1910, in Freda, N.D. He was baptized by Rev. A. O. Koldee on Jan. 19, 1911. In Dec. 1919 he moved with his parents to Greenwood, Clark County, Wis. He was confirmed (with his sister Lillian) in the United Lutheran Church at Greenwood on Oct. 14, 1925, by Rev. M. K. Aaberg. In Feb. 1926 he moved with his parents to a farm south of Blanchardville, where he spent the remainder of his life. He passed away on Oct. 11, 1929.


Surviving are his parents, Hulda and Siguard Martinson four sisters, Sigred (Mrs. John Giezendanner), Alphild (Mrs. Melvin Olson), both of Barron, Wis. Lissian (Mrs. Albert Knudtson) of Madison Ethel at home 7 brothers, Henry of Mobridge, S.D. Arthur of Plateau, Alabama William who is in the U.S. Navy at San Pedro, Cal. Norman, Orville, Alfred, Lyle at home and a host of other relatives.


Funeral services were conducted on Oct. 17th at the home and at the Blanchardville Lutheran Church, Rev. Houkom officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery. Ten cousins were pallbearers and eight cousins were flower girls.
