PNEUMONIA FATAL TO BEAVER FARMER
Louis Karnopp, a prominent farmer of the Town of Beaver, Clark County, died at his home Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1930, at the age of 47.
Mr. Karnopp broke his leg about a week before his death while working in the woods, being confined to his bed he contracted pneumonia.
He was born Jan. 29, 1883 in Kewaunee County, where he spent his childhood and was educated.
April 14, 1911 he was united in marriage with Emma Becker at Maribel, Wis. He brought his bride to the farm in the Town of Beaver, on which they have resided for the past twenty years.
To this union six children were born, two sons, Clarence, 17, and Wilbert, 4 and four daughters, Elda, 18, Linda, 13, Alice, 11, and Esther, 9.
He is also survived by four sisters and four brothers and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Karnopp, all of whom reside in Kewaunee County.
The funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the South Green Grove Church, of which he was a member, Rev. George Heilman of Greenwood officiating. The body was laid to rest in the South Green Grove Cemetery.
