EMMA REISNER


Mrs. Emma Reisner, 95, of the Chili, Clark County area, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 1977, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Funeral services for Mrs. Reisner were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville, with the Rev. Steven Ellerbuch officiating. Burial followed in the Lynn Cemetery.


Mrs. Reisner was born Dec. 5, 1881 at Marshfield and was married Dec. 6, 1899 in the Town of Lynn to William Reisner. They lived on a farm in the Town of Lynn, then later moved to Chili. She had been a resident of the Marshfield Convalescent Home for several years.


Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. William Baumgattner, Marshfield, four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Adeline Donnerbauer, Milwaukee, Mrs. Oscar Krause, Granton and Mrs. Geneva Verhasselt, Phlox.


She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two brothers and five sisters.

Reisner, Emma (5 December 1881 – 24 May 1977)

Funeral services are to be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville, for Mrs. Emma Reisner, 95, a resident of the Marshfield Convalescent Center who died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The Rev. Stephen Ellerbusch will officiate, and burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery.

Friends could call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, from 2 p.m. Wednesday until noon today (Thursday) when the body was taken to the church to lie in state there until time of services.

The former Emma Faber was born December 5, 1881, in Marshfield. Her marriage to William Reisner took place December 6, 1899, in the Town of Lynn. They farmed in the Town of Lynn, then moved to Chili after retiring. Mr. Reisner preceded his wife in death on July 15, 1954. Mrs. Reisner, a resident of the nursing home for a number of years, was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. William (Margaret) Baumgartner of Marshfield; three sisters, Mrs. Adeline Donnerbauer of Milwaukee, Mrs. Oscar Krause of Granton and Mrs. Geneva Verhasselt of Phlox; and by four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
