AGED LADY PASSES AWAY


Mrs. Mary Kitzhaber
passed away at the home of her son L. A. Kitzhaber, Monday evening, April 9, 1934 at 10:30 o'clock. Deceased made her home here during the past 3 years and would have been 84 years old next June.


She was born in Westphalia, Germany and when 3 years old came with her parents to this country. For 9 years she lived in Utica, N.Y., and then moved to Norway, Iowa. Her husband preceded her in death in 1891. During the past years she resided with her daughter at Cedar Rapids, Iowa and her son in Greenwood, Clark County.


She is survived by four children, two daughters, Mrs. Hugh Harkness of Luck, Wis., Mrs. L.E. Bowen of Davenport, Iowa, two sons, L.A. Kitzhaber of Greenwood, Wis. and Albert Kitzhaber of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She also leaves sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Mr. and Mrs. Kitzhaber accompanied the body to Norway, Iowa yesterday, where the funeral will be held today.
