B.F. STANLEY RITES ARE HELD FRIDAY

GREENWOOD--Funeral services for Benjamin F. Stanley, 63, resident of this community for the past 45 years, who died early Wednesday morning, June 2, 1937 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the home. The Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiated, and burial took place in the Greenwood Cemetery. The local branch of the Modern Woodmen of America conducted rites at the grave.

Fellow members of the Modern Woodmen who acted as pallbearers were Charles Varney, Elmer Johnson, Adolph Meyer, E. T. Opdycke, Edward Buker and Clarence Mason.

Among the many out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Stanley and Milo Fillur, Chetek Mr. and Mrs. George Iffland, Merriallan Mr. and Mrs. Emery Starks, Stanley Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Bostwick, Alma Center Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Mills, Neillsvill and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Tucker and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Neis, Lodi.

Mr. Stanley was born May 4, 1874, at Princeton, Minn., and came to Clark County while a young man. He purchased a farm in the town of Eaton, which had since been his home. He was married to Miss Sylvina Christie at Neillsville on April 17, 1901, by the Rev. Mr. Longenecker.

Mrs. Stanley survives him, as do two sons, Merrill of Chetek, and Leo at home, one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Lucille) Lunka, Willard, four grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
