GREENWOOD FARMER IS BURIED TUESDAY
MICHAEL HENDRICKSON, 77, DIES WHILE VISITING WASHINGTON


Greenwood--
Funeral services for Michael Hendrickson, 77, a resident of this community (Greenwood, Clark County) for many years, who died of influenza on Feb. 2, 1937 at the home of a sons, Alfred Hendrickson, at Asatin, Wash., were conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the United Lutheran Church. The Rev. M. K. Aaber, pastor of the church, officiated, and interment took place in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. Hendrickson was a native of Finland, having been born there on March 13, 1859, in Kristene Stad. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and for some time he was a sailor. He landed in Winnipeg, Canada, during the year the Canadian Pacific railroad was under construction, and worked with the railroad crew for two years, after which he came to the present farm home northeast of Greenwood.


He was married to Miss Mathilda Larson on Oct. 14, 1883, in Greenwood. Mrs. Hendrickson survives him, as do five daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Mila) Heidrick, and Mrs. Olaf (Mabel) Johnson, Greenwood Mrs. Paul (Ollie) Johnson, Sullivan, Ind. Mrs. Mathilda Appleford, Asatin, Wash. and Mrs. Ivan (Lillian) and Clarence, at home.


Twenty six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one brother, Victor Hendrickson, Lewiston, Idaho, also survive.


Among the out of town relatives who attended were Mrs. Ivan Hanson, Chicago, and Mrs. Paul Johnson, Sullivan, Ind.


Mr. Hendrickson had been visiting relatives at Asatin, Wash. for six weeks before his death.
