CLARA ROSSOW


Clara Rossow, 86, 300 N. Division St. Loyal, Clark County, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 22, 1977, at Colby Colonial House of Colby, where she had lived for the past three months.


Funeral services were held Monday, July 25 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, with the Rev. Bruno Schlachtenhaufen officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mrs. Judy Haslow was the soloist for the services, and Ronald Gluch was the organist.


Clara Salzwedl was born to Henry and Wilhemina Salzwedl on July 3, 1891, in the Town of Beaver. She received her education in Loyal rural schools. On March 31, 1909, she married Otto Rossow, who preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 1962. She had lived the past 56 years in the Loyal area.


She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Women of the Church.


She was preceded in death by two sons, Orville, who died in infancy, and Romaine, who passed away on Sept. 3, 1974 three sisters and one brothers.


She is survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


Pallbearers were Neil Johnston, Paul Brandt, Herman Schefus, Eric Axelson, Albert Wehrman, and Tom Wepfer.


Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
