OBITUARY OF MRS. ALFRED ROUM
Mrs. Alfred Roum, nee Pauline Arneson, was born in the Town of Clyde, Sept. 8, 1882, daughter of Arnie and Dorothy Arneson, and passed away July 21, 1939 at her home in Highland, Wis.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. Mrs. Roum has been in poor health for the past fifty years and was always a kind and loving mother and patient in all her suffering.
In April 1902 she was united in marriage to Alfred Roum and to this union were born 10 children. One daughter, Lillian, died in infancy.
Mr. and Mrs. Roum have reside on the present farm home during all their life with the exception of 15 years when they reside near Greenwood, Clark County.
She is survived by her husband and nine children, Mrs. Vern (Alma) Syth and Mrs. Leo (Tressa) Johnson, Greenwood Mrs. Jess (Lila) Keach, Marshfield Mrs. Stanley (Edna) Fitzgerold, Madison Mrs. Curtiss (Wilma) Venden, Avoca Mrs. Wilbur (Marcella) Zemlicka, Highland Wilmer Roum, Montfort Melva and Oda at home two brothers and two sisters, 16
grandchildren, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Otter Creek Lutheran Church and the body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Otter Creek Cemetery at Highland.
Mrs. Vern Syth and Mrs. Leo Johnson attended the funeral.
