OBITUARY OF MRS. FREDERICKA EHLERT
Mrs. Fredericka Ehlert, 85, passed away at 7:25 o'clock Thursday morning Sept. 14, 1939 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Komis at Marshfield where she had been making her home for the past nine years. She has been in poor health for about four years as a result of complication of ailments aggravated by old age.
Mrs. Ehlert, nee Fredericka Suemnicht, was born in Bewran-Pommern, Germany, Feb. 27, 1854. She was married in Germany Oct. 2, 1879 to Karl Ehlert.
On April 17, 1881, Mr. and Mrs. Ehlert came to America and settled in Iron Ridge, Wis. After living here for one year they came to Clark County, first living on a farm near Loyal and then moving to the Village of Loyal.
Mr. Ehlert died in Loyal, March 19, 1916. Since Nov. 1930 Mrs. Ehlert has lived in Marshfield with her daughter.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Anna) Rossow, Greenwood and Mrs. Ed (Emma) Komis, Marshfield and four sons, Frank of Wild Rose Herman of Wausau Otto of Loyal and Albert of Owen. A daughter, Minnie, died Aug. 4, 1928 and a son, Karl Jr. died in infancy. 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a brother, Fred, who liveds in Germany, also survive.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 o'clock Monday from the Komis home and at 1:30 from St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, of which she was a member. Her body was taken to Loyal where interment was made in the Lutheran Cemetery, Rev. B. F. Matter officiating.
