ALFRED W. BARTZ DIES AT GRANTON SAT.


Alfred W. Bartz, 52, a farmer in the Town of York, died of hemorrhages Saturday night at 8 o'clock at his home. He became critical ill Friday and had been in poor health since Aug. 1938. This winter he received treatment at Madison for cancer of the stomach and liver.
Mr. Bartz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bartz, was born in Brillion, Dec. 26, 1886. He was married to Miss Bertha Albrecht of Lynn Oct. 9, 1908. Mr. Bartz has been a farmer in Clark County for the past 32 years.


Surviving are his wife and six daughters, Mrs. James (Erma) West, Shortville, Misses Gertrude, Lenore, Mildred and Evelyn, all teachers in Clark County schools and Katherine, 4, at home and one son Lawrence at home his mother, a sister, Mrs. Ray Nichols, a brother Fred and two grandchildren.


Miss Lenore Bartz is a teacher in the Greenwood Public School.
