DONALD E. JOHNSON PASSES AWAY
Donald Everette Johnson, son of Edward William and Tilda Helena Johnson, was born at Stanley, Wis. Sept. 24, 1921. He was baptized in the Norwegian Lutheran Church at Stanley by Rev. Midtlien and attended the Methodist Sunday school after his parents moved to Christie, Clark County.
For the past 5 years he has been ill with diabetes and seriously ill since Nov. 23, 1938. He passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield Friday morning, Jan. 13, 1939.
Donald was a senior in the Neillsville High School. He worked in an uphill struggle against poor health to gain his education.
Funeral services were held at Neillsville Methodist Church Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. C.R. Gaylord officiated. Burial was made at Neillsville.
He is survived by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Edward (Violet) Anderegg, as well as other relatives and many friends.
The pallbearers were Allen Linster, Arthur Murphy, Harold Murphy, Merrill Boon, Robt. Knops and Walter Backus.
