OBITUARY OF C. H. SAUCERMAN


Clarence H. Saucerman
, son of Abelson and Celia Saucerman, was born May 31, 1872 in Cadis Twonship, Green County, Wis. He was married to Nancy Hare, May 4, 1902 and to this union was born three sons, Wesley, Frank and Fred, and one daughter, Yvette.


He passed away suddenly Dec. 17, 1940 from a heart attack believed to be caused from over exertion of shoveling snow. Mr. Saucerman was a Spanish War Veteran, being one of Wisconsin's first volunteers. He had reached the age of 65 years, 6 months and 16 days.


Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 21 at 9:00 at the home by Rev. P. H. Franzmeier and the body was taken to Cadis, Wis., where services were held at 3:00 p.m. with burial there.


He is survived by his wife and daughter Yvette at home (Greenwood, Clark County) Wesley of Bassett, Wis. Frank of Delevan Lake, Wis., Fred of Waterloo, Iowa five grandchildren, his stepmother, Mrs. Susan Evans of Fort Pierre, S.D. four brothers, John and Barnet of Pierre, S.D. Fred of Colorado Springs, Colorado, George of California and two sisters, Mrs. Harry Hough of South Wayne, Wis. and Mrs. Will Bunker of Fort Pierre, S.D.


The pallbearers here were George Humke, Wm. Goeke, August Schwarze, Jake Speich, George Speich, Art Buker. At Cadis, Legion members acted as pallbearers.
