Mike and his brother John were returning from Madison, where Mike had been a patient in the hospital for several weeks, when the truck which they were driving collided with the rear end of another. At an early age Mike moved to Owen, Clark County with his parents, where they resided many years and where he received his education, later attending the Eau Claire Business institute at Eau Claire. Several years ago his parents moved to the present farm three miles northeast of Greenwood, where they have since resided. Mike and his brother Frank became engaged in local trucking activities and
later also engaged in farming for themselves.
