LEO JOHNSON PASSES AWAY


Leo Theodore Johnson
, son of Ole J. Johnson and Kari Peterson Johnson, was born June 1, 1902 in the Town of Eaton, Clark County, Wis. and passed away Feb. 21, 1941, cause of death being bronchial pneumonia.


He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and received his education in the Greenwood Public School. On Nov. 1, 1925 he was united in marriage to Miss Tressa Roum.


Seven children were born to this union, all of whom survive, namely Looyd, age 14 Allen, 12 Lyall, 9 Chester, 7 Donna, 5 Linda, 3 and Brenda, 8 months.


One sister, Mrs. J. E. Johnson of Greenwood and three brothers, Oscar C. of Corinth, N.D. J. Arthur of Humbird, Wis. and Elmer of Greenwood survive.


Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Elmer Johnson home and 2:30 at the United Lutheran Church, The Rev. A.E. Norson, officiating. Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Arthur Iverson, Albert Dahl, Frank Drake, Irvin Fisher, Fred Behrens and Don Warner.


A quartet, Mrs. Ernest Berg, Mrs. Albert Dahl, Roy Thorson and Arthur Iverson sang two songs.


Those from out of town who attended the funeral were namely Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Roum, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Zemlika, Mrs. Curtis Venden, all of Dodgeville, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Keach, Marshfield Oscar C. Johnson, Corinth, N.D. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson and daughter, Barbara of Humbird.
