MRS. JOHN MINSAAS
Greenwood Funeral services for Mrs. John Minsaas, 74, who lived 2 miles southwest of Greenwood, Clark County, and died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1949 after a lingering illness, will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, the Rev. Theodore Nelson officiating.
Burial will be made at the Greenwood Cemetery and the body will be in state at the Schiller Funeral Home beginning today and continuing until time of services.
Mrs. Minsaas, nee Boletta Martinsen, was born Dec. 10, 1874, in Solar, Norway. She came to the United States at the age of 19, and lived in Eau Claire, where she was married to John Minsaas.
After a few years they moved to the Greenwood area and lived in the Town of Beaver on a farm 3 miles northeast of here.
Mrs. Minsaas was a member of the Trondhjem Lutheran Church and also a member of the Ladies Aid Society.
Her husband died in 1933, and two sisters, Mrs. Bruno (Anna) Schetzel and Mrs. Lloyd (Serina) Olson also preceded her in death.
Surviving children are Mrs. Frank (Ida) Tetzlaff, La Crosse Malro, Julius, and Paul, Greenwood Mrs. Talmen (Enga) Nelson, Canton, S.D. Mrs. Clarence (Agnes) Henchen, Loyal Mrs. William (Mattie) Hanson, Granton and Mrs. Clifford (Laura) Adams, North Moorehead, Minn.
She is also survived by 47 grandchildren and 13 great-granchildren.
