PATRICK MCMAHON


Greenwood--Patrick Eugene McMahon, 72, long time resident here, died at his home here Sunday morning, Dec. 4, 1942 after a lingering illness.


Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 6, at the McMahon home, with the Rev. Alex J. Abbott officiating. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. McMahon, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John McMahon, was born in Warwick, Canada, Feb. 4, 1869. He came to Greenwood, Clark County as a small child, living on a farm 5 miles south of Greenwood. He was married to Miss Margaret Johnson about 40 years ago at Greenwood and they made their home here almost continually with the exception of 10 years spent at Menomonie and Eau Claire.


He returned to Greenwood about three years ago. Wile living here he held various position, working for a time as a clerk at the Farmer's Store and at Bruley's Feed Store.


He is survived by his wife, two sons, John and Morrell, both of Eau Claire and three daughters, Miss Arlene McMahon, Chicago Mrs. Oliver (Margaret) Curre, New York City and Miss Lucille McMahon, Milwaukee.
