SILAS DELANO

Greenwood--Silas Delano, 90, of Humbird, Clark County, who had been ill the past few days due to heart trouble and complications, died at 12:10 o'clock Sunday morning, April 18, 1943 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Marden, where he had been living the past year.

Mr. Delano, son of the late Abraham and Sarah (Roundy) Delano, was born in the State of Maine March 2, 1853.

Surviving are his wife of Greenwood and a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Bollom of Neillsville.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Humbird Methodist Church, the Rev. Alex J. Abbott of Greenwood officiating. Burial will be made in Mentor Cemetery, near Humbird.

Information needed concerning our great great grandfather, (Thomas) Jefferson Eggleston. He died in April of 1887. We're trying to find our where he died and who his parents were. His daughter, Thirza, was married to Silas Delano and in her earlier life lived with her father in Clark County (1880) census. Any info is appreciated. Kathy Beer
