BRAATZ RITES HELD FRIDAY AND SUNDAY
29-YEAR-OLD GREENWOOD WOMAN DIES AT EAU CLAIRE
Greenwood--Funeral services for Mrs. Leonard Braatz, 29, who died at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, Tuesday, April 30, 1946, after a four year illness, were held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Braatz home, 1 mile north of Greenwood, Clark County, and at 2 o'clock at United Lutheran Church. The Rev. A. E. Norson officiated.
The woman's chorus of Trinity Lutheran Church sang Beautiful Savior and I Found Him in My Heart during the services.
On Saturday the body was taken to Burlington for another funeral service Sunday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home. Interment was made in Lyon Cemetery, Burlington.
Ruth Lorraine Bauman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bauman, was born Oct. 6, 1916, at Burlington and was married there June 14, 1935, to Leonard Braatz.
On April 1, 1939, they moved to Greenwood and since then lived on their present farm north of Greenwood. Surviving besides her husband are three children, Glenn, 9, Virginia, 6, and Sharon 5 her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bauman, Lake Geneva her sister, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Bohs, Burlington and her grandmother, Mrs. Peter Clausen, Lake Geneva.
Another sister, Lorna, died in 1942.
