CHARLES W. ROSSOW


Greenwood--Charles W. Rossow, 52, Route 1, Owen, died at 7:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1969 at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where he was a patient for a week. He had been in ill health for some time.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Arvid Myhrwold, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood until 11 a.m. Tuesday and then at the church.


Mr. Rossow was born in the town of Beaver March 12, 1916, and received his education in the town of York. He was married at Granton on Dec. 20, 1949 to Mildred Herzog. The couple lived in the Withee and Greenwood, Clark County areas. Mr. Rossow was a licensed cheesemaker and had been employed at the North-Central Dairymen's Co-operative Cheese Factory at Owen. He was a Veteran of World War II.


Survivors include his wife three daughters, Catherine, Mary and Debra, all at home three sons, Charles Jr., Wausau Robert, Neillsville, and Donald, at home three sisters, Mrs. Lila Dankenemyer, Nekoosa Mrs. Gilbert (Beulah) Bremer, Milwaukee Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Schmidt, Pearson, Wis. five brothers, Roy, Glen, and Verlyn, all of Loyal Mervin, Junction City, Ore. and Gilbert, Brookfield and his mother, Mrs. Tina Rossow, Loyal.


He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
