FRANK RAKOVEC
Frank Rakovec, 81, formerly of Loyal, Clark County, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1992, at Marshfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 1992, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Pekol, Mike Rakovec, Gene Rakovec, John Rakovec, Larry Adams, and Don Mengel.
Frank Rakovec was born Oct. 10, 1911, in Yugoslavia, to Joseph and Antonya (nee Zorko) Rakovec. He received his education in Willard. He was married April 8, 1953. He farmed in Willard until 1953 and then moved to the town of Beaver until 1963. He then worked part-time for the town of Beaver for about 20 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, Alan, Loyal James, Marshfield and David, Neillsville four daughters, Debbie Rakovec, Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Don (Sandy) Mengel, Stratford Mrs. Larry (Sue) Adams, Stratford and Kathy Rakovec, Neillsville one brother, Joe Rakovec, Marshfield one sister, Mrs. Mary Pekol Sr., Willard and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Cyril, Richard and John and one daughter, Judi.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
