HEDWIG HEMERSBACH
Greenwood--Funeral services were conducted at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, on Friday, Feb . 15, 1991, at 1 p.m. for Mrs. Alfons (Hedwig) Hemersbach, 78, of 205 W. Schofield, Greenwood, Clark County.
Mrs. Hemersbach died at her home of cancer at 5:58 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1991.
Officiating at the service was Rev. James Lesczynski. Grandsons, Damian and Chris Budzinski, John and Jim Gannon, Joshua Harmsen, and Benjamin and Nicholas Collman, served as pallbearers. Interment was in Holy Family Cemetery, Willard.
A 7 p.m. Auxiliary prayer service and an 8 p.m. prayer service were conducted on Thursday evening. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.
Hedwig Janezich was born to Anton and Mary(nee Hegler) Janezich on Aug. 5, 1912 at Willard. She received her education at rural Willard Schools.
On March 1, 1942 she was married to Alfons Hemersbach at Spartenburg, South Carolina. She was a lifelong resident of Willard and Greenwood.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its altar society, the Greenwood Legion Auxiliary, Clark County Democratic Party and the Slovian Club.
Surviving are her husband, Alfons one son, Steve of Greenwood four daughters, Marcia (Mrs. Robert) Gannon of Marinette Linda (Mrs. Henry) (the rest of my copy was cut off)
