WILBUR LENZ, 63
Greenwood--A lifelong resident of Greenwood, Clark County, Wilbur Hugo Lenz, 63, of route 1, died of an apparent heart attack at his home at 2 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 1973.
Rites will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Christie. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Bitter, pastor, and burial will be made in the Christie Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood beginning Tuesday afternoon and at the church after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Born Aug. 18, 1909, in the Town of Eaton, Mr. Lenz also received his education in the Eaton Center School. He had been employed by the Clark County Highway for 38 years as a truck driver and had operated a farm 5 miles south of Greenwood for 17 years.
His marriage to the former Betty Hatton took place July 22, 1950, at Neillsville. She survives him.
Mr. Lenz served with the armed forces from 1942 to 1945 in the South Pacific. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was presently serving on the church council.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Miss Mary Jane Lenz, with the United States Air Force in Iceland two sons, Harold Lenz and Evan Lenz, both at home four brothers, Roy Lenz, Jim Falls, Arnold Lenz, Marshall, Loren Lenz, Oconomowoc and Donal Lenz, Greenwood and two sisters, Mrs. Alex (Louise) Krubsack, Ashippun and Mrs. Allen (Bethel) Christopherson, Hartford.
