MARY MALNAR
Mary Malnar, 81, Greenwood, Clark County, died at 12:04 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 1989, at her home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 12, 1989, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. Matthew Malnar, San Antonio, Texas, officiated the service. Burial took place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwood. Pallbearers were Michael G. Krultz Robert Krultz Jason Krultz Robert J. Zukowski Donald Zukowski and David Zukowski.
Mary (Briski) Malnar was born Jan. 12, 1908, to Matt and Katherine Zagar in Austria. She received her education in Minnesota through the sixth grade. On June 14, 1924, she married Matt Malnar. After their marriage they lived in Chicago for ten years. In 1936 they moved to Willard and operated Matt's Tavern until 1962, when they retired and moved to the City of Greenwood. Her husband died July 8, 1986. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and SNPJJ Slovian Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Rose Marie) Krultz Jr., Neillsville Mrs. Robert (Delores) Zukowski, Thorp Rev. Matthew Malnar, U.S. Air Force Chaplain, San Andtonio, Texas six brothers, Tony Briski, Berwyn, Ill. Frank Briski, Colby Robert and Theodore (Ted) Briski, Greenwood; Albert Briski, Altoona John Briski, Withee; six sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stimac, Greenwood; Mrs. Joe (Julia) Vivoda, New Port Ritchie, Fla.; Mrs. Steve (Katherine) Gulcyinski, Minneapolis; Mrs. Angeline Gulczinski, Greenwood; Mrs. Rose (Stanley) Malazuk, Greenwood; seven grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and one brother.
Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
