HENRY A. HANK KNOLL
Henry Knoll, 58, Greenwood, Clark County, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 1990, at 10:40 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 8, 1990, at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. Charles Thain and Luther Nassbaum were in charge of the services. Burial was in Windfall Cemetery, Granton. Pallbearers were Eddie Tresemer, William Volz, tom Flynn, James Kuehn, David Hoppa, Bud Kuester.
Henry Knoll was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Marshfield to Henry and Mabel (Markham) Knoll Sr. He received his education at Heathville School and graduated from Loyal High School. After his education he farmed with his parents in the Granton area until 1953. He married Arlene Holnbach Feb. 27, 1957, in Loyal. He then moved to Milwaukee, where he worked for Ben Hur Manufacturing for a short time. He then lived in Wisconsin Rapids and worked for Consolidated Paper until 1965. He was owner and operator of the Moonlite Inn at Neillsville until 1969. He went back to the construction business until he retired due to failing health. He was a member of the Steamfitters Local 385, Eau Claire.
Survivors include his parents, wife, one son, Lon Knoll, Greenwood; two daughters, Mrs. Laverne (Susan) Ehlers, Neillsville; Mrs. Patrick (Deborah) McFarlane, Willard; one sister, Mrs. Larry (Audrey) Wibel, Loyal; and seven grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were one grandson and one granddaughter.
Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, handled the arrangements.
