HARLAN BRUX


Harlan Brux, 77, Greenwood, Clark County, died Tuesday, April 17, 1990, at 11:31 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Friday, April 21, 1990, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. James Lesczynski officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dennis Carteron, Jerry Hinker, Reynold Syth, Carl Lindner, LaVerne Lindner and Ed Zorman.


Harlan Brux was born March 4, 1913, in Greenville to William and Julia (Fischer) Brux Sr. He received his education through the eighth grade. He married Dorothy Belisle on June 7, 1937, in Balsam Lake. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1987. He worked all his life as a cheesemaker. For the last 40 years he was employed at Stewart's Redville Dairy in Greenwood. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, active in Catholic Family Insurance., Catholic Knight and did volunteer work for social services.


Survivors include his wife four daughters, Mrs. Jack (Kathryn) Horton, Madison; Mrs. Garfield (Janet) Bienfang, Naperville, Ill.; Mrs. Larry (Judy) Boyle, Deerbrook; Ms. Monica Brux, Sheboygan; three sons, Dale, Marshfield; Alan, Spencer Mark, The Woodlands, Texas; one brother, Francis Brux, Wrightstown; six sisters, Mrs. Julia Schiedemeyer, Appleton; Mrs. Howard (Ethel) Luniak, Kimberly Mrs. Vilas (Germaine) Brockman, Freedom; Mrs. Roman (Rosemary) Burceau, Green Bay; Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Van Dyke, Appleton; Mrs. Arlo (Roberta) Ramthun, De Pere; and nine grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, William Jr. and two sons, Gary and Edward.
Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
