FRANCIS WALTER


Funeral services for Francis Walter, 68, of route 1, Willard, Clark County, were conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 30 at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood.


Francis Walter passed away at 9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26, 1978, at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley.


Father James Lesczynski of Holy Family Church, Willard, officiated and Mrs. Duane Olson was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Allan Dallman on the organ. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Francis Walter was born to Frank and Mary Walter at Chicago on June 27, 1909 and received his education in Chicago Schools.
He was married to Evelyn Liss on July 27, 1935. She passed away on March 2, 1966.


On July 27, 1968, he was married at Neillsville to Dorothea Neuendorf. He was a policeman for the City of Chicago for 23 years. He then retired and moved to Willard and worked for three years at Stewart's Cheese Factory.


Surviving him are his wife Dorothea one son, Allan of Chicago, Ill. three step-daughters, Mrs. Jerald (Myrna) Richmond of Greenwood, Mrs. Donna Wilding of Beloit and Mrs. George (Marcia) Gregorich of Willard one brother one sister, Mrs. Eleanor Kedzior of Chicago two grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were his first wife, Evelyn and his parents.


Serving as pallbearers were Henry Lamovec, Fred Daft, Jake Barr, Stanley Volovsek, Jerald Richmond and George Gregorich. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
