Horn, Martha (1898 - 1966)


GREENWOOD--Miss Martha Horn, 68, Greenwood Clark County, died at 7:05 a.m. today, Oct. 2, 1966 at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she had been a patient since Aug. 2. She had been in ill health the past years.


Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Zion United Church of Christ in Greenwood. The Rev. Charles Koch, New Holstein, will officiate, and burial will be made in the Forest Hill Braun Settlement Cemetery.


The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood.


Miss Horn was born Aug. 17, 1898, in the Town of Warner, and received her education in the Braun Settlement School. In 1919, she came to Greenwood and was a dressmaker until 1937. In later years she had been employed at a general store here at Eddy's Tog Shop.


Miss Horn was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Greenwood, and its Women's Guild.


Her only survivor is a brother, Frank Horn, Tacoma, Wash.


She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Horn, April 1917 her mother, Mrs. Louisa Horn, Jan. 1952 two brothers and a sister.
