Shaw, Amanda Isadore (1858 - 1934)

GREENWOOD--Amanda Isadore Butterfield was born March 3, 1858, to Joseph Butterfield and his wife Elizabeth Given At St. Albans, Maine.

At the age of seventeen she came to Clark County, Wisconsin and April 15, 1976 she was married to Charles Shaw at Neillsville. In the fall they moved to a farm in the Town of Weston, where they resided for fifty-eight years. It was here that Mrs. Charles Shaw passed away at 7 p.m. March 26, 1934.

Mrs. Shaw was a member of the Methodist Church and the Ladies Aid at Christie. In times of sickness and trouble grandma Shaw (as she was known) was always a willing helper. She was a wonderful mother, a devout Christian, and a true friend. She will be sadly missed in her home and among her friends.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and two daughter, Anna (Mrs. Ed Tucker), Mildred (Mrs. Albert Neis). One son, Lenwood Shaw, and one daughter, Gladys died in infancy. She also leaves six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
