SYLVIA PAGELSDORF


Sylvia Pagelsdorf,
age 80, died at Neillsville Hospital on Feb. 15, 1978 at 10:45 a.m. where she had been a patient since Dec. 23, 1977.


Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 17, 1978 at the Rinka Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Schroerluck of the Spencer Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.


Sylvia (Bassett) Pagelsdorf was born May 27, 1897 in the Town of York, Clark County. She received her education in rural York Schools. She married Edward Pagelsdorf on Feb. 10, 1915 at Neillsville. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1961.


After their marriage they moved to Beloit and later to the Town of Sherman, where they farmed until she moved to the City of Loyal in 1966.


She is survived by one son, Carroll, Route 1, Loyal one brother, Clayton Bassett, Fort Wayne, Ind. one sister, Mrs. Haskel (Vivian) Catlin, Loyal four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Harold, and one sister.


Pallbearers were George Stumpner, William Pagelsdorf, Roy Cook, James Hinker, Steve Rotar and Donald Olson.
