Zepaltas, John Joseph (1915 - 1964)


GREENWOOD--John Joseph Zepaltas, 49, Greenwood, Clark County, died at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 1964, at his home. He had been in ill health for the past year.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Edward F. Hartung will officiate, and burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home from Sunday morning until the time of services. A general rosary service will be conducted there at 8 p.m. Sunday, followed by the service at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.


John Joseph Zepaltas was born Oct. 17, 1915, in Chicago, Ill., and his marriage to Rose Marie Jasurda took place Jan. 4, 1941, at Chicago. In 1950 the family came to Greenwood, where Mr. Zepaltas had been employed by the John Wuethrich Company.


He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, he leaves six daughters, Mrs. Leo (Nancy) Fellenz, Chicago Mary Ann, Donna, Debbie, Diane and Kathryn, at home three sons, Cpl. John Zepaltas, Santa Ana, Calif. James and Thomas, at home his mother, Mrs. Kate Zepaltas, Chicago two granddaughters, Debra and Sharon Zepaltas, Santa Ana, Calif. and a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Sophie) Duchowicz, Chicago, Ill.


He was preceded in death by his father.
