GREENWOOD--William Hanson, 75, Greenwood, Clark County, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 1964, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lindner, Greenwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. The Rev. Charles Glidden will officiate, and burial will be made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood from Wednesday afternoon until 11 a.m. Thursday, and then at the church.
William Hanson was born April 22, 1889, in Mannville, and at the age of two years moved with his parents to Athens. At the age of 14 he began work at the Rietbrock Land and Labor Company in Athens, where he was employed until the mill ceased operation in 1936.
He then farmed in the Athens area until his retirement in 1955, when he came to Greenwood. His marriage to Agnes Jones, who survives, took place July 24, 1912, at Athens.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Wilma) Blumenkamp, Wausau Mrs. Arno (Carol) Roepke, Birnamwood and Mrs. Carl (Ethel) Lindner, Greenwood three sons, Myron, Rib Lake Robert, Eagle River and Arthur, Menomonie 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.
