LEO STANLEY


Funeral services for Leo Stanley, 74, of 210 Miller, Greenwood, Clark County, were conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Methodist Church, Greenwood.


Leo Stanley died early Tuesday morning, Feb. 21, 1978 around 3 a.m.


Rev. Lourinda Sanford officiated at the service and Gary Schultz was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Gary Schultz on the organ. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.


Leo Stanley was born to Benjamin and Sylvina (Christie) Stanley in the Town of Eaton on Feb. 3, 1904 and received his education at Eaton Center School. He was never married.


He farmed in the Town of Eaton until 1969. In 1970 he moved to the City of Greenwood, where he has been residing ever since.


Surviving him are one sister, Mrs. Lucille Lunka of Willard one brother, Merrill of Chetek and several nephews and nieces.


Serving as pallbearers were Stanley Suda, Harold Lindblad, James Axness, Everett Shaw, Max Stanley and Eugene Budzinski.
