McGivern, Catherine (1893 - 1963)

GREENWOOD--Funeral services will be held in St. Mary's Catholic Church here at 10 a.m. Thursday for Mrs. Bernard McGivern of Greenwood, Clark County, who died at 6 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield after being in poor health the past year. She was 69 years of age.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Norbert Weber and burial will be made in the Greenwood Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home, where a general rosary service will be conducted at 8 o'clock tonight.

The former Catherine Derks was born in Kaukauna, Aug. 4, 1893. She was married to Bernard McGivern in St. Anne's Catholic Church at Stanley, Oct. 15, 1915. The couple came to Greenwood in 1948 and settled on the former John Kuehn farm, where they lived until they retired five years ago, and then moved to Greenwood.

Mrs. McGivern is survived by her husband a sister, Mrs. Henry (Dina) Willenberd, Stanley, and two brothers, Joseph Derks, Appleton and John Derks, Stanley.
