Rossow, Ervin Edward (1900 - 1963)


GREENWOOD--Ervin Edward Rossow, 63, Loyal, Clark County, died of a heart attack at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 1963, at his home. He had been in poor health for three years. Mr. Rossow had attended church that morning and his death was unexpected.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenwood. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Zielske will officiate.
Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home beginning Wednesday afternoon. The body will be taken to the church Thursday at 11 a.m.


Mr. Rossow was born March 15, 1900, in the town of Warner. He was married April 9, 1951, in Greenwood, to Lillian Niemi Ystad. He had lived in this area his entire life with the exception of the year 1929, which he spent in Milwaukee.


He resided on his farm five miles east of Greenwood until a year ago, when he moved to Loyal. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood.


Survivors are his wife a sister, Mrs. Olaf (Elsie) Ystad, Loyal. His father, William, died in 1959 and his mother, Anna, died in 1950. Also preceding him in death were an infant sister and brother.
