Guk, Anna Helena (1879 - 1969)
GREENWOOD--Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. Anna Helena Guk, 89, Greenwood, Clark County, who died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, April 24, 1969 at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital, where she was admitted a day earlier after suffering a stroke.
The Rev. LeRoy Urman, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the Town of Lynn Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Hill Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Wednesday, when it will be taken to the church.
The former Anna Helena Schlinsog was born July 3, 1879, in the Town of Grant, and was married there Oct. 2, 1898, to William Guk, who preceded her in death May 20, 1920. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Lynn.
Following the death of her husband she lived in Chicago for 20 years and then with her children. For the past 12 years she had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Laura Limprecht, at Greenwood.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Louis (Dora) Grade, Marshfield Mrs. Arnold (Elda) Nitschke, Granton Mrs. Laura Limprecht, Greenwood a son, Arno Guk, Marshfield a sister, Mrs. Laura Beil, Chicago a foster-sister, Mrs. Bertha Hessel, Abbotsford six grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
