Oswald, Albert H. (1878 - 1958)


GREENWOOD--Albert H. Oswald, 80, Greenwood, Clark County, died at his home Wednesday evening of a heart attack. He had been in ill health the past four years.


Funeral services will be held at the Lanham Funeral Home in Sparta at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ira Tanner of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood will officiate and burial will be made in Mount Hope Cemetery in Sparta.


The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Saturday, when it will be taken to Sparta.


Mr. Oswald was born June 10, 1878, near Sparta, and was married there Aug. 14, 1907, to Violet Gaines, who survives him.


They moved to the Greenwood area in 1938, where they farmed until five years ago, when he retired and they have since been living near Greenwood.


He was a member of the Congregational Church in Sparta.


He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Verna) Nolan, Mrs. Lawrence (Winifred) Halbrader, bother of Greenwood and Mrs. Douglas (Shirley) Behr (the rest of my copy was cut off)
