Korenchan, Karolina (1887 - 1958)
GREENWOOD--The funeral of a former Willard, Clark County resident , Mrs. Karolina Korenchan, 70, will be held here at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hill Funeral Home, where the body now lies in repose. The Rev. Ethel Nulton of Grace Methodist Church will officiate, and burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Willard.
Mrs. Korenchan, died Sunday in Chicago, where she lived for the past two years with a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Karolina) Rissky. She was born in Yugoslavia Sept. 11, 1887, and after coming to this country, farmed mile north of Willard with her husband, John. After his death she lived in Chicago for a few months while a house was built for her in Willard. She lived in her new home only a short time before she became ill and moved to her daughter's home.
Other survivors are two sons, Andrew and John, both of Chicago. A daughter, Angeline, preceded her in death.
