Olson, Maria Cecelia (1882 - 1957)


GREENWOOD
--Miss Maria Cecelia Olson, 74, a lifelong resident of this area (Greenwood, Clark County), died Saturday, March 2, 1957, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been a patient since last Tuesday. She had been in poor health for some time.


Funeral services have been arranged for 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Our Savior's Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. I. J. Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The body, which is at the Hill Funeral Home, will repose there until noon Tuesday, when it will be taken to the church.


Miss Olson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ole Olson, was born in the Town of Eaton April 5, 1882, and lived on the home farm for 63 years. She moved to Greenwood 11 years ago. She was a member of the Women's Guild of Our Savior's Church.


She is survived by one brother, Henry, Greenwood, five nieces, four nephews and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews. Two brothers, John and Andrew, who had farmed the home place, preceded her in death in 1941 and 1943, respectively.
