Meredith, Ralph (1886 - 1957)


GREENWOOD--Ralph Meredith, 70, Greenwood, Clark County, died late Saturday afternoon, Mar. 9, 1957, at his home, following a year's illness.


Funeral services will be conducted from the Georgas Funeral Home here Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Frank B. Harcey, pastor of the first Congregational Church in Neillsville. Burial will be made in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.


The body will repose at the funeral home until time of services.


Mr. Meredith, who had never married, was born Dec. 9, 1886, at Spencer, Iowa, where he received his education. The family moved to Kenosha County when he was eight years of age and then settled on a farm in the Tioga area, where he resided until 1945. For the past nine years he had made his home with two sisters in Greenwood.


Besides his two sisters, Rose and Ruth Meredith, he leaves one brother, Maurice, route 3, Neillsville. His parents, one sister, Mrs. Ed (Louise) Steffen, and one infant brother preceded him in death.
