Decker, Theodore A. (1901 - 1968)

 


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel United Church of Christ here for Theodore A. Decker, 66, of Chicago, a former Greenwood, resident, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his Chicago home Thursday, Oct. 3, 1968. The Rev. David Logue will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Tuesday and then at the church.


Mr. Decker was born Dec. 13, 1901 at Greenwood, where he also received his education. He was married at Winona, Minn. on June 30, 1930 to Evelyn Kepke, who survives him. The couple lived in Greenwood until 1957, when they moved to Chicago. They have lived there since that time.


Other survivors are two sons, Donald, Greenwood Bernard, Orlando, Fla. eight grandchildren four brothers, Fred, Greenwood Arthur, St. Paul, Minn. Otto, Marengo, Ill. and Gilbert, Fourntain City five sisters, Mrs. John (Edna) Pawleck, Soquel, Calif. Mrs. Harold (Elsie) Fillips, Glen, Minn. Mrs. Jack (Dorothy) Shortess, Spencer Mrs. Elmer (Eleanor) Wolfe, Neenah and Mrs. Leo (Leona) O Connell, Rockford, Ill.
