Paul, Eva B. (1876 - 1955)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Final rites for Mrs. Eva B. Paul, 79, Greenwood, have been arranged for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stabnow Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Mrs. Ethel Nulton, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, as the officiant.


Mrs. Paul died Friday at the Clark County Hospital at Owen, where she had lived for the past three years. Death ended a week-long illness of pneumonia, which developed after she suffered a stroke.


Graveside rites will be conducted Wednesday afternoon in Kellogg, Minn., where the former Eval Wilcox was born on Nov. 6, 1876. She received here education there and was married to Ever N. Paul at Wabasha, Minn., on Nov. 18, 1903.


The couple came to Greenwood 45 years ago. Mr. Paul died July 4, 1950. Mrs. Paul continued to reside here with the exception of a few years at Dodgeville with her daughter and the last few years at Owen. The daughter, Mrs. Eunice Quantius, preceded her in death, as did a son, Ralph.


Although the oldest child in her family. Mrs. Paul was the last surviving member. Preceding her in death within the past two years were two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Jennie Cole, who died a week ago in Minneapolis Mrs. Edith cook and Arthur Wilcox. Another sister, Maude, had been deceased for several years.
