Brezic, John (1884 - 1962)
GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--John Brezic, 77, Greenwood, died at his home at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Hartung officiating. Burial will be made in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home beginning Friday evening. The general rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Brezic was born May 10, 1884 in Yugoslavia. He came to the United States in 1907 and settled in Pennsylvania. In 1912 he moved to Milwaukee and was married there on May 11, 1912 to the former Mary Marinskek. In 1914, they came to Greenwood and lived on a farm west of here until his retirement in 1951, when they moved to the city of Greenwood.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church, the Slovanian National Benefit Society and the KSKJ of Willard.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Lamovec, Willard four grandchildren a great-grandchild a brother, Jerry Brezic, Elkins, W. Va. And a sister and two brothers in Yugoslavia.
He was preceded in death by a brothers.
