Stabnow, Esther Elizabeth (1890 - 1961)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Mrs. Harold Stabnow, 71, died Thursday morning, Oct. 15, 1961 at her home here. She had been in ill health following a stroke five years ago.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Koch of New Holstein and the Rev. Orval Egbert, pastor of Zion United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body is reposing at the funeral home.


The former Esther Elizabeth Etta was born in Loyal May 20, 1890. Since her marriage to Harold Stabnow in Loyal Sept. 15, 1915, she had made her home in Greenwood. She was a member of the local Order of Eastern Star, whose members will attend the funeral services in a group.


Survivors include her husband two sons, Donald, Willard and Dale, Tomah three sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mable) Tolleth, Wisconsin Dells Mrs. Perry (Maude) Volk, Loyal and Mrs. Carl (Florence) Keiner, Eau Claire and one brother, Oscar H. Etta.


She was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Etta.
