Braun, Edward (1886 - 1967)
GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Edward Braun, 81, route 1, Sheboygan Falls, former Greenwood resident, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 6, 1967, in the Memorial Hospital at Sheboygan Falls, after a long illness. He had been hospitalized for the past 12 weeks.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, and at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. David Logue will officiate, and burial will be made in the Forest Hill Cemetery in the Braun Settlement.
The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home from Sunday morning until the time of services.
Mr. Braun was born July 11, 1886, in rural Greenwood, received his education here and also attended business college in La Crosse. He farmed northwest of Greenwood until his retirement in 1952. Since 1957, he had made his home at Sheboygan Falls.
His marriage to Marie Damerow, who preceded him in death Jan. 1955, took place June 10, 1915, at Greenwood. Oct. 5, 1957, he was married at Sheboygan Falls, to Mrs. Tillie Boll, who survives.
Mr. Braun was a member of the Braun Settlement School Board, the Consistory of the Salem Reformed Church, and had served as chairman of the town of Longwood.
Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Iris) Phillips, Fresno, Calif. two sons, Clayton Braun, Greenwood and Edward Braun, Burlington four step sons, Elmer Boll, Burlington Marvin Boll, Sheboygan Hubert Boll, Plymouth and Harry Boll, Milwaukee three step-daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Alvina) Voss, Sheboygan Mrs. Willard (Luellen) Greisch, Milwaukee and Mrs. Lloyd (Florence) Hass, Sheboygan a sister, Mrs. Norman (Setonia) Mitchell, and a brother, Elmer Braun, both of Sacramento, Calif. 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, in infancy and a step-son, Raymond Boll, in Dec. 1961.
