PAUL KIPPENHAN
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 15 at
Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood, for Paul Kippenhan,
53, of Route 2, Greenwood, Wis.
Mr. Kippenhan passed away at 4:24 a.m., Monday, June 12, 1978 at
his home.
Rev. Larry Davis will officiate at the services and interment will
be in the West Side Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, after
2 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, and at the church after 10:30 a.m.,
Thursday June 15.
Paul Kippenhan was born to Theodore and Martha Kippenhan on May 3,
1925 in the Town of Mead and received his education at Kippenhan
School.
He was a Korean Veteran, serving in the Army from Feb. 27, 1951
until Feb. 4, 1953.
On Aug. 14, 1954, he was married to Julia Scheel in Neillsville.
They farmed in the Town of Mead until the fall of 1965, when they
purchased the tavern, known as Kippenhan's Tavern, and operated it
until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Julia two brothers, Alvin of Greenwood;
and Herbert of Wausau; and three sisters, Mrs. Emmery (Norma)
Sieger of Kenosha; Mrs. Elmer (Esther) Meinhardt of Sheboygan
Falls; and Mrs. Price (Rosa) David of Milwaukee.
Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, is in charge of
arrangements.
